Windows 7 - Procedure entry point could not be located in the dynamic link library kernel32.dll

In Windows 7 while installing the softwae I got the below error popup says "Procedure entry point could not be located in the dynamic link library kernel32.dll"

1) Replacing the corrupted kernel32.dll with a new one via Microsoft Windows setup CD/DVD.
2) Make sure your windows is up to date. (Run the windows update).

My issue got resolved after installting the Security patch Security Update for Windows (KB2758857).
