In the today's digital world, booking for a passport appointment online has become easier. In this article I am providing the steps to book your passport online appointment.
Steps:
For New Users
➤ Open the passport official website in India: https://portal2.passportindia.gov.in/AppOnlineProject/welcomeLink
➤ Click on "New User Register" to create an account.
➤ Here you have to enter the details like Passpot Office, Name, Date of Birth and Email ID.
➤ Login Id and password to enter into the Passport site after completetion of registration.
➤ An activation link send to the emailID. Click on the activation link send to the EmailID and your loginID is activated to login into Passport site.
For Registered Users
➤ Open the passport official website in India: https://portal2.passportindia.gov.in/AppOnlineProject/welcomeLink.
➤ Click on "Existing User Login" and log in with your user ID and password.
➤ Now click on "Apply for Fresh Passport/Re-issue of Passport" link.
➤ Fill in the required details asked in the web page such as your personal information, address, spouse details, emergency contact details and other passport related details.
➤ In the Passport office dropdown select the passport office and show the available slot besides it.
➤ In the next page check the details and proceed to pay the passport application fee using the available payment modes.
➤ Once the payment got successfully it will booked your appointment, you will receive a confirmation email or SMS with the appointment details.
➤ Print the application payment reeipt.
➤ On the appointment date, make sure to bring all the required documents, such as your application form, proof of identity, proof of address, and any other relevant documents.
